🎳 140 KIDS. 12 SATURDAYS. THE FUTURE OF BOWLING IN D99 IS BRIGHTER THAN EVER! 💯

What an incredible 12 weeks!

This past Saturday marked the conclusion of Cicero District 99's Spring/Summer Bowling League, and what a season it was. 

For 12 consecutive Saturday mornings, 140 Kindergarten through 7th grade students dedicated themselves to learning, improving, and having fun alongside their families.

Week after week, we watched young bowlers develop proper technique, build confidence, encourage one another, celebrate personal bests, and grow both on and off the lanes. 

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering commitment of our amazing parents, who made the sacrifice to bring their children every Saturday morning. Your support is what makes this program so special.

A huge thank you also goes to Coach Jeremy Bertosa for his passion and dedication to growing the sport of bowling in our district, and to the outstanding staff at Striker Lanes for providing a welcoming home for our league each week.

Bowling has exploded in popularity throughout our community over the past several years, and we're proud to be helping lead that growth. Our youth camps and bowling league introduce students to the sport as early as Kindergarten, planting the seeds that continue to flourish through Unity Junior High and eventually Morton High School. The success those programs have enjoyed — including competing among Illinois' elite at the state level — begins with mornings just like these.

The excitement surrounding this league says it all. Every year, registration reaches capacity within the first week because families know they're joining something special.

While this season has come to an end, the journey continues. Our summer camps are already underway, and we look forward to welcoming another group of young bowlers to our Junior High tryouts this January.

Thank you to every student, parent, coach, and supporter who made this season such a tremendous success. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
