🚓 UNITY IN ACTION: FAMILIES, FIRST RESPONDERS, & A TOWN THAT CARES 🚒

Posted Date: 8/06/25 (4:27 PM)

Last night, our community came alive! Every August, National Night Out is celebrated across the country — a powerful initiative designed to strengthen the bond between communities and the law enforcement officers who protect them. It's about building trust, opening communication, and showing that together, we are united for the safety and well-being of every neighbor, family, and child.

Here in Cicero, we don't just participate — we show up big. Families filled the Town Hall Courtyard for an unforgettable evening of community connection, fun, and safety awareness. Cicero District 99 was proud to partner alongside Town of Cicero President Larry Dominick, the Board of Trustees, and the Cicero Police Department.
Dozens of vendors, including District 99, gave out prizes, hosted games, and had giant wheels to spin for a chance to win big! There were even mini jeep stations for young adventurers to cruise around in!

Kids explored squad cars, tested out the sirens, tried on police gear, and met the CPD's K-9 unit and drone team up close! They also learned about fire safety inside the fire safety trailer and met our heroic firefighters.

And beyond the fun — there was something even more powerful at work: partnership. When schools, town leaders, police, and families come together, we create a safer, strong Cicero.

🚨 One of the best ways we do that all year long is through our PARENT PATROL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM — a powerful initiative where local parents help support safe streets and safe schools. If you're ready to make a real difference, join our Parent Patrol Team:

National Night out reminded us of something simple but profound: Safety isn't just the job of the police. It's not just on the schools. It's a shared responsibility — and when we come together, we can accomplish anything.

💙 Let's show our support for safe streets, strong schools, and united families in Cicero!Â
